ronnie johhhnnn
On my 87 gl Wagon I've got 185/70/r13s in the front and 185/80/r13s in the back because I found them cheap at a junkyard. I tried to put it in 4WD and it went crazy (obviously). I had to struggle to get it back in FWD. I have an axle going bad and I was just gonna remove it and have it be rear wheel drive but I dont know if that would work. Would it bind up like it did before or will it work fine in rear wheel drive?
bushbasher
it will work because the front diff can now rotate to relieve the difference in speed. Just remember to keep the front *outer* cup/stub in the hub so you can drive without the axle.
archemitis
ya knock that outer cup off with a hammer, and clean the greas out of it... take out the bearings, and cage ifyou can, its kinda cool how it fits together =] you can remove one or both, i noticed no difference either way. try not to do too many brake stands with the e brake, as your tires will not last long

Boy is it fun with an LSD, Two-Tire Fire anyone? Smoke-O-Rama
