TimHansen Posted September 24, 2004 Share Posted September 24, 2004 Yeah, the $100 Hatch revealed another problem to us tonight after we went and filled it up for the first time. Came back out to the garage a while later and saw a pretty big puddle. Drove it out for groceries and still saw about a 5" spot under it in the parking lot when we came back. It's still dark so I can't get a look at it but what's the general prognosis on these? Is it possible it's just the filler neck or do we need a whole new tank? brus brother Posted September 24, 2004 Share Posted September 24, 2004 My 90 Loyale rusted through at these little fuel dampers just outside the tank. They look like miniature "Mallowmars" about the size of a stack of 4 quarters. Anyway, look for something simple before you fret the worst case scenario.
