the goat
i have found a local place that specializes in pugs and i was checking on purchasing some wheels. they have quoted me $65 ea. for the alloys and $35 ea for steels. is this good or outrageously over-priced? thanks for the input. calebz
Thats a little high..but then again, the averasge pug owner charges more to other pug owners.. When I had my Peugeot turbo, I wanted another set of wheels.. and the average price I got from other pug owners was about $60 per wheel for 14 inch steels. On the other hand, I bout 4 14 inch steelies from a board member for ~$100.. and got the spare at the yard for ~$15.. with a good tire.
Wasteland
I just sold a set of 5 504 14 steels with 16 lugs for $100. But you have to weigh the price with the availablity of the wheels, if they're hard to find it might be worth it to pay $35 ea. Most yards only charge about $15 for wheels, Pug or other, but out here you almost never see Pugs on the road or in the yards.

samo
Paid $25 a wheel for my 14" alloys with bad tires, $20 for an alloy without a tire, and $10 for a 14" steel with a tire. Now, admittedly, that's pretty cheap, but a yard that gets lots of volume shouldn't charge a whole lot. After all, it's not like there's a ton of demand for Peugeot wheels. ShawnW
Theres something to be said for walking out with them and being able to see what you are buying. If that is with the lug nuts and the tires are already dismounted OR they are decent tires thats probably quite fair.
