Recommended Posts

Ya the legacy doesn't have 4lo thats what I don't like about it hehe. I can't move out of those corners nearly as fast with the legacy. Plus its got a sheered off lug nut and the pickle has a nice racing seat in it now.:) Hopefully I will see ya'll there, got a lot of work to do on the pickle.

Now I need a brake retractor... I fixed the problem with the stupid squeel the wheel bearing was SOOOO messed up. Now it turns better and stuff but the brake on the side we fixed is sticking because we accidentally hit the brakes while the rotor was off and now we need to reset it. Urgh

Rationales for bringing your WRX, Brat, or E81, or Justy to Hood River this Sunday (possibly in order of priority):

1) breakfast available

2) lunch available

3) can sleep in and still make the afternoon session (?)

4) the best rallyx soil in Oregon

5) Paul Eklund-designed killer course (uses the entire field!)

6) can camp under the stars Sat. night

7) you get to drive the Gorge

8) awesome view of Mt. Adams, turn 180 for Mt. Hood

9) last runs before the monsoons arrive (?)

10) John Alley organized event

11) Scott K. directed event

12) driving monitored by Rich O. or his effigy

13) timing & scoring by Chris squared (?)

14) registration by angels

15) you get to be king/queen of your corner/grid/stopwatch

16) breakfast

17) lunch

18) likely 4 runs each

19) you get to drive the Gorge - again

(Thanks to Bill Price for this; sorry for the slight modification for the USMB)

Uhhhhh its in HOOD RIVER???

Crap I didnt notice that. I already swapped my tires over to rally.

I assumed Hillsboro which is super close to me.

I really dont know if I want to come all the way out there. I've had a long week, I get this ONE day off, then I have to work 4 more days then I leave for California...

I may or may not make it out at this point...

Probably not though... $30 to beat up the car PLUS gas when I need to come up with over $300 for a welder... More likely I'll go to home depot and buy a welder and try to get the brat put back together :banghead:

just got back about 2 hours ago and man what a RUSH!!! and the wife is ok'ing me running the Impreza even more but not this year cause can't afford to run anymore this year but we are gonna make a "Jason's Rallycross Fund" for next year  and run the Imp too hehe

oh yeah had to relearn some car control Physics on the fly cause of having more power, AWD, a rear e-brake, a rev limiter, and ABS (SUCKS! in some ways lol)

and wife was wondering why I left the car running and I gave the answer to let it cool down but didn't really need to cause I am so used to my older rigs runnin a lil warmer after a few runs and the Imp didn't even break a sweat out there w/normal running temps all the way through the event

one sad note is John Alley (the one with the club rally WRX in blue and yellow) blew 1st gear on his 2nd run and had to go get the Wifes car which is a stock WRX and oh yeah Scott K the rallyX director was allowed to run both cars cause his All-trak was not put together yet for the event and he LIKES IT!!!!!! which means we might see him in a Suby next year possibly

oh yeah and also I was runner up for the cone killer award behind Bill Price with 12 cones to his 16 or so cones
