Roughly 25-28 mpg running the expensive gas Still going strong, just some oil leaks everywhere possible...LOL

Petersubaru
30-31mpg/US.gal/reg fuel/highway driven at 60mph with cruise on an 86 auto turbo with about 186,000mi on it...still does not leak oil and runs absolutely smooth at 700-800rpm idle...around town it is not all that great..just recently purchased and I am the 2nd owner...everything still works on it
Subi81
21-25 mpg depending on foot, 25,000 miles on re-ring, rebearing. I am sure I could get it to go to 30 on a nice long hiway trip. This is running Premium I think 91 octane.
Petersubaru
I forgot to mention, the 30mpg was done at 60mpH and I drove 600 miles..when I returned, the fill-up was done at the same gas station and pump....patience is greatly required...this car consumes less gas then my carbed car with a manual tranny...go figure??? Caboobaroo
I was driving an 86 GL-10 turbosedan that had 317,000 on it and was still going until the head cracked wide open. Now its going again with a different set of heads and a minor reseal but still the original shortblock.....I think I was getting about 25mpg but that was on the freway with my foot in it:D
Vanislru
376,000 km so about 230,000 miles and about 18-25 mpg depending on my driving mood. I pulled off the heads and cleaned the ...rings about 20,000 km ago cause they weren't in such good shape didn't replace though. 50,000 km's of that is very hard mountain/offroad drivin with some go fast mods to the engine. Turbone
131K on the T-Wagon with about the same average MPG everyone else posted. And with the same stipulations (to much WOT). The RX isnt getting any MPG right now cause it doesnt have a heart, awaiting transplant
garner
My EA82T brat has 550 miles on a full rebuild. I get 30 on the highway easy which is to be expected considering the motor is pushing a lot less weight than the ones in your wagons or RX's I am running it as rich as I can right now via adjustable RRFPR set to about 45psi. I'm sort of suprised it does so well with the mods done to the internals and the bigger turbo etc.... garner
Ratty2Austin
86 XT 4wd turbo, about 120k on it.. recently resealed.. gets about 27 to 31 mpg at 70mph highway driving... about 22 to 25mpg street driving... running stock boost and all that.. and 87 octane (no arco!!!) Danbob99
96K miles!! i think that makes me the lowest posted so far! I get 16-18 mpg, though i also run at higher boost, and drive like a mad-man...engine was rebuilt 5k miles ago, still runs excelent, save for the fuel cut issues:banghead:
