PHATBRAT
I have a EA82T sedan that the motor has been out of the car for 2-2.5 yrs. What are the chances of the cam's oil seal and O ring being good. (54,000 mile 1 owner car) One side has been replaced due to the engine being partially disassembled, However, the other side was never touched. I personally would guess that they are probably still good, Yes, Better to replace them while the engine is already out of the car but, I need to just get it done. If I really don't need to do it, then I don't want to. I want the car running. I am sick of moving the engine and sick of looking at the car just sit there. Any opinions out there? (Stick to the question) Any helpers out there?
ShawnW
They pretty old seals and mileage doesnt apply here when this much time has elapsed. I would expect them to leak.

carfreak85
I would just replace them. Preventative maintenance will do wonders for the long term reliability of your car.
