Scoobywagon Posted October 11, 2004 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Since you are replaceing the wheel bearings, you might try this... Get one more 36mm castle nut. Run one on the backwards as far as it will go (brake drum off, of course) and another one the right way. Snug them up against each other to spread the load over as much thread area as possible. Get a BFH and whack the crap out of it. Heat up the bearing GOOD and hot. Get a BFH and whack the crap out of it. Heat up the bearing GOOD and hot. torxxx Posted October 11, 2004 Share Posted October 11, 2004 he must be talking about the rear stub shaft. They are a pain in the rump roast.. Heat is what its going to take. I beat on mine for 2 days without heat and then it took 5 minutes after i got it hot with a rosebud tip.
