Dr. RX
You're about a year too late, last year I gave three of them away after I couldn't sell them. You might try http://automotive-advantage.com/
The Korean
I'll get back to you on this, I can't think of the website right now... They have JDM engines and STi and wrx JDM trannys.
NorthWet
The JDM importers, in my experience, don't have websites. Their marketing is a little more focused to their immediate area. If you have a "Classified Flea Market" or "Penny Saver" type paper, look in there in the auto parts section. Generally, they seem to be in port cities. Oakland/SF, Seattle/Tacoma are places that have importers that I have frequented. Stockton probably has some, maybe Sacto. Get a hold of a port city phone book or newspaper, look for ads for "Japanese Engines". There will usually be ads for several importers. Prices vary between importers, and vary day to day depending on what has come in to port. Good Luck! Pat

Dr. RX
email fourstarmotorsports Tizzle, I think these guys are inot the GD series cars, they wouldn't have an auto tranny for a 90 Legacy. Here are some more places to try: http://www.foreignenginesinc.com/ http://www.nippon-motors.com/ http://www.usedengines.com/ http://www.kwcengine.com/ http://www.risingsunengines.com/ Hope they help. ShawnW
Find a salvage yard that will find you a wrecked but running one and buy the whole car.

subieman
Thanks for all the links! Very much appreciated. I'm thinking about a JDM tranny cuz they seem to have the longest warranty tacked on with them. And the low mileage is a plus. The search is just beginning. Dr. RX
Here's the website that I promised you... http://www.finelineimports.net/stitransmissions.htm Bluelsti, nice web site, but I don't think they'll have an auto tranny since they seem to deal in only STi trannys, and I don't believe and JDM early STi's had auto trannies in them. WOW, I can't believe their prices, I can get a complete front clip for the prices they show, that includes engine tranny and rear diff.
