AEIOU
I just thought of something earlier and was curious as to its viability. Would it be possible to put a WRX or even an sti engine in an RX? What would this involve? WOuld you need to swap out the entire drivetrain? Just thought that it might be cool, it would make quite a nice sleeper, too. subyrally
searching is a good thing, but i think there are a few people that have attemped this and completed it. i know some have done the wrx swap into a brat, and i think it was dr.rx that did the rx. i may be wrong though
carfreak85
It is very do able. A few people have done it. Dr. RX was one of the first and he can give you all the needed info.

calebz
Nope. Absolutely impossible. never happen. An in depth search of the board will show thats true.

Of course it can be done, I did it, well not exactly, but I did use an EJ20G, but it came from a Legacy, not a WRX, but it is externally exactly the same engine. The only real mods the need to be done are shortening the drive line 55mm, and narrowing the rear piece of the tranny support. Of course you will need a custom exausht system. Here is a pic of the engine bay in the RX, note, this was taken during the wiring phase, so it looks like spagetti. http://www.corkysrocks.net/AirControlValve2.jpg
