She seemed to know everything and was more than extremely helpful. I do not think I have dealt with someone as cordial, knowledgeable, and unbiased in a long time as I did with her just now. They will definately get my business if/when that time comes. She answered questions truthfully that most shops would have answered with what they thought you wanted to hear, but not this shop, they told it how it was.. PROPS to this company!!! archemitis Posted October 19, 2004 Share Posted October 19, 2004 thats great. one thing i have noticed, is that alot of the shops, that are subaru specific, are so tired of hearing from kids from the usmb, that often they give you the short answer, and arent too helpfull, because they get the same call day after day. I bought a motor from them when I blew a HG a few years back, and could not pull off a rebuild myself in a reasonable amount of time. They definitely deliver the goods, and make it easy to get your Sube back on the road fast. The motor they sent was ready to go without any hassles at all. They really do know their sh*t, and it shows in the end product. This is about as close to a "sure bet" as you'll ever find in a rebuilt engine. Emily is great to talk to. AK Brat Posted October 20, 2004 Share Posted October 20, 2004 Word to the wise....Don't buy RECON Company rebuild engines..I've had nothing but bad luck..Had to have one engine replaced due to rings, Then had to have a head replaced due to bad heli kit they used and now the hydrolic lifters are going bad on this engine..Good thing I have a 3 year warranty Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
