wmagni
I was told my head gasket is going so is it a good thing to convert to the 2.2 or an ea20 twin turbo? prices for a used 2.5 range from $1600-3500. I was also quoted $1250 for a 2.0 twin turbo complete w/ ecu, all acces and wiring. I have yet to get quoted on a 2.2. The trans will be replced/rebuilt at the same time. Please share your opinions! Thanks for the help on the overheat inquire.:-\

projectrally
The twin turbo engine won't fit the car without some major work. They can be had relatively cheaply, but won't fit because they're set up for Japan, where cars are RHD. The LHD steering rack gets in the way.
