Bubonik
Hello again first thanks to everyone who gave me information on finding my codes now as an update {can i flap or what!} i was trying to get my codes again and looking under the hood and dash for all the connectors and i noticed the green timming connector AND the clear memory connector were BOTH plugged in i've unplugged them and the check engine light hasn't come on yet Only about 20 Klicks of driving yet though ...... now after all that ..... is there anything detrimental i should look for that may have been caused by those two plugs being plugged in ?? i'm gonna drive it a bit more and check for codes again but i'm just wondering if i should be expecting other things thanks again you guys{and girls} you've helped me alot and more in the future i'm sure !! canajun2eh
Nope, no damage. Both connectors plugged in just clears the ECU memory of all stored codes.

With the green connector plugged in and the black disconnected, the ECU is put into Diagnostic mode. This mode is used by the dealer for extracting additional codes from a running engine. You're not supposed to leave this connector plugged in for any extended period. Shouldn't cause permanent damage, except to your bank balance.
