beezer
Just wondering what might be the best avenue to take. Should I look at remanufactured axles or buy new ones. My Legacy has higher mileage if this makes a difference.

NorthWet
Napa autoparts even offers a lifetime warranty on theirs never had a problem with mine Jamie I went with NAPA, and have really used the Lifetime Warranty. Had a string of bad remans... Got good at changing axles, though. Once they also gave me an axle that had its threads cut-down and a 32mm nut used. PITA, ended up taking it back and exchanging. Legacy777
www.cvaxles.com probably one of the better rebuilders.
edrach
Ditto on www.cvaxles.com. I would avoid remans by ARI. New is great but watch out for the price!!
beezer
Thanks guys! I will probably go with the remanufactured axle from a reputable dealer that comes with a decent warranty . Beezer

My Legacy has higher mileage if this makes a difference. I put reman axles in my 91 Legacy and they were as bad as the old ones. Found brand new ones on ebay for almost the same cost as reman and it sounds like new again.
eman
NAPA has new ones now. They call them Max Drive. Only about $20 more than remans and don't need to turn the old ones back in as they are worn out....Trash.
