mcbrat
my first foray into working on a 87 wagon. it came to me sans motor/intake/coil, so of course I'm dropping a freshly sealed/weberized 86k ea81 into it, and I just need to know some of the wiring in the engine bay
Subi81
I don't have a scanner but I can some really nice pictures if you want.
NorthWet
No FSM, but a Chilton's (we need a Mr. Yuk! emoticon!) and scanner and lots of practice using it.
mcbrat
maybe just some close-up pics of the coil wiring and what goes where, and what vac line is needed for the climate controls. the weber I rebuilt is a water choke kind, but I'd like to know which wire is for the choke as well. I have chiltons and Haynes, but haven't touched 'em since I got my other FSM's.....

Emailed to you or posted some way? *edit - Not that it is likely to matter, but what was the original intake-type? - end edit* (The Chilton's came with the car, and my Haynes doesn't have any wiring diagrams for EA82-era wagons. FSMs are near-future acquisitions.)

subiemech85
choke is a blue w/white stripe, and another wire, as on ea81 climate control goes from intake manifold to canister, must have, to driver side entry, to junction by heater lines, as in ea81, up to the push buttons
mcbrat
got some info off the scans, but still have a question on the harness that goes to the oil pump? which wire is which on the harness. I see 2 that "could" be the oil sender plug. also, what side was the fan wired from? pics of the connectors would be great I'm almost done... still need to do the heater core though.....
