WJM
So how much pressure does the high side of the pumps put out? Whats the low side max rating? I am going to reroute the lines and add a cooler in line...during autocrossing the fluid gets rather warm and the pump cavitates...

TomRhere
Not real sure of the actual PSI of the system, but an AT tranny cooler should be just the ticket for you. Would put it the return line, and in-front of the radiator for best cooling. Would only need some hose and a couple of clamps to do install, other than actual mounting of cooler. But any air flow would be benefical. Ford used to just have a looped line sitting behind the fan for PS cooling, mounted right on the PS pump. Later, they added some fins to the loop, but it wasn't all that much really.
WJM
so you're putting it back on? Yes. I did not like driving Jo around and having to muscle the car. I dont like having to muscle it anyhow.
WJM
Ok...if you've got an FSM...why not use it!? Looks like the high side is a max of about 924 PSI... AND! XT's have a QUICKER PS rack! YAY! I just happen to have one of those laying around....cool! So...now I just need to find some flexible line to make PS lines and put a cooler in.... WJM
wuss Better than having to saw all over the steering wheel with the manual rack...It wasnt THAT bad w/out PS...but the sterring column bearing being knocked out made it BAD for autox...that and street driving is a bitch. After looking in the FSM...and seeing that the manual racks are SLOWER...id rather not have to put MORE input into the car with only a little less effort....I'll take less input with ease for this. STi rack here I come!
XSNRG
The XT-6 rack is quicker than the XT...don't know if it will fit but it should. I was thinking it might be good to use the XT-6 pump too. Might be a power saving feature?

I need to look at the specs of the XT6....where's my XT6 FSM when I need it...
