Caboobaroo
Ok so the j/y punched a hole in the tank to drain out the gas awhile ago but now there's a hole, go figure. I was wondering what gas tanks will work. DO I need to get one out of a 3-door? Can I use one from lets say a 2wd SPFI wagon? Any clues guys since I am kinda strapped for cash (just spend almost 600 bucks at the post office yesterday) for the next couple weeks and since I have a connection on getting some parts, one of the cars is a SPFI 2wd wagon. Any ideas? Thanks guys!

I need to get this car running so I can drive it before the snow hits!!! I did find out that the 2wd and the 4wd EA82 tanks are the same but are there any differences between the carbed, SPFI, MPFI and the turbo fuel tanks???? Flowmastered87GL
Nothing a BFH couldnt fix I bet I actually dont know the RIGHT answer, but I suppose if you use the fuel pump and junk from the old holey tank everything should be fine. canajun2eh
As far as I know, all the tanks are the same. The fuel pumps, however, are different. Be sure to install the correct fuel pump and pressure regulator for the type of engine you have. The pressure regulator is the little metal thingie in the fuel line, just after it leaves the pump. NorthWet
Ok so the j/y punched a hole in the tank to drain out the gas awhile ago but now there's a hole, go figure.... Once upon a time, places like radiator shops would repair holes in fuel tanks... assuming the tank was basically sound and the hole was not huge. Might want to check this out. Caboobaroo
well I did some research earlier and I found out that all EA82 tanks are the same. So I can get one for free from a parts wagon so I will be set to go. Thanks guys!
