subaru_styles
so..just to give detail. well first off as some of you know the RX wagon hasn't been running(good enought to drive it far away) or in my possesion since pre wcss6. it has been sitting and rotting.which ment for me not having a car in bend and "bumming" rides for a few months.this got to be a real pain in the rump roast for my friends and difficult to get to work sometimes. well i moved to portland on oct 30th, still with no car. before i left bend, i had one roomate ditch out on giving me money for repairs/cleaning. i didn't have time to fix them with the move, so bu-bye deposit.Well we get up here and the fridge we all bought from a guy in vancouver ends up being useless. he won't take it back. then the whole "work" thing up here ends up being delayed. i havn't worked since oct. 24th. but thats not the end. my hard drive on my computer takes a dive,it's history ..so i have to use my roomates computer. oh yeah and in september bought for my wagon some 14's and brand new tires for winter, which won't be needed now. so now i am waaaayyy in debt and dont have any work YET this month. i have to return to bend to take over as head chef for dec. i needed something to be able to make it over the pass and just to get around. took out a loan and picked up this 89 coupe. 213K d/r 5spd. runs great! no oil leeks, new rad.the body is straight and it only need a few minor things..the guy bought it just to use it for a couple months. he knows nothing about subaru's and thinks it's ulgy so i got it for $675.00 on a side note i need the 3dr sprayer for the rear glass, inside cover plate for the passenger side mirror, and a seatbelt clip for the drivers seat. P.S> has anyone in the area ever replaced a windshield before?? i need one too

garner
Bling Bling man!!! seriously though, seems like a good score considering your current needs... bring it down to Eugene and lets do a turbo swap ok, I'm done playin you. After you get that ej20t GL wagon, lets turn this red one into a full blown rally machine.... I've done a couple windsheilds. Not too bad depending on the design of the gasket (which generally gets destroyed removing the old glass) Call some glass places and ask them to price just the glass and gasket as well as the whole deal installed. Sometimes it's just $20-$30 more for the install and when it leaks or they break it during install, it's their problem.... garner

WJM
So what is the issues from keeping the RX wagon running? I know mine are...no PS/AC, loose steering column bearing (FIXED) and....a legal exhaust.
TheSubaruJunkie
Looks like you got a good deal and a sweet ride. Sucks to hear about the hardships youve been through. If you need a hard drive for your computer... send me a PM and I can have one sent to you. It wont be big, but it will be enough to get your computer up and running again. -Brian
DrKrazy
Pretty sweet, I think it looks pretty nice in red. Kinda dying for the RX kit but looks good just the way it is. If needed you can PM me for a Hard Drive too, got 3 or 4 close to brand new Hitachi(IBM) 80gig'ers sitting around here someplace that came out of my server that just got upgraded. Looks like a good deal for the price. Sucks the wagon isn't on road was just showing off pictures of it to a guy at work! Told him see older Subaru wagons can have super nice style..no pun intended. XSNRG
Nice car styles...I like the coupes. The coupe windshield is an inch longer than the sedan or wagon. Also be careful removing the trim, it's hard to find.
