i'm kind of new to manual stick shift

 

i was wondering,

when should i be shifting my '90 loyale wagon push-button 4WD

and where should it be running kind of at a norm ?

 

i understand i can rev it higher but kill my klickage, but whats kind of the standard ??

Do you have a Tach in it? Shift at 3K RPM, this will give you optimal rpm's for drivibility.

i shift at 4, i think 3s a little early. i keep it running at around 2500 rpm or lower when cruising. this is all kind of based on opinion, however. once you get more experience in it you'll develop your own feel for it.

Balls to the wall shift it at 8000, naaaa just kidding, usually I shift around 3000 to 3500.
