Looking for a wagon

Recommended Posts

Well, I've finally decided to find a wagon for my wife. The question I have is about interior space. Which has more, an EA-82/Loyale or a Legacy?

The legacy looks larger on the outside, but somehow looks smaller inside. Any thoughts?

BTW, whatever I get must have 4wd (or AWD) and a manual trans. She's german and, as such, has a genetic hatred of auto's.

You'll want a Legacy. Go test drive a couple at used car lots to decide which year fits best. My wife drove an '84 GL for years and refused to give it up until I brought a '93 Legacy wagon home and handed her the keys. She'll never go back!

Depends on how much money you can spend and how much you like her.

A t-wagon can be had for not much money if you are patient. My wife's GL-10 was $350. Probably can find one for under $500. Might be hard to find a Legacy wagon for under $1000. (There was that one in PDX, though.)

If you want to see how much room a GL/Loyale has, how 'bout me coming down and we can see howmany parts will fit in mine? :brow: Seriously, if you and your better half want to check out a GL, let me know.

P.S. - get that engine out yet? Want a hand?

Legacies are easier to work on and more comfortable. i rebuilt a loyale engine, kind of harder to get to anythign on them. I <3 my legacy for being a super commuter. but a loyale is fine.

I relate to being a 100 % german girl, but i like cars, so i don't know what that says. I'd say legacy for a car-hater. they're too nice not to love..
