archemitis
ok, i was looking at abuncha clutches and the xt6 friction disc doesnt seem to be any different than the ea82 ones, other than the larger damper springs. does the pressure plate have heavier springs? what makes it better, or is this just a subaru myth? There is a different part number for it...I have it in my GL-10...it wont hold up to a properly tuned 14PSI EA82T tho...still slips. It is a little bit stronger...the pedal is not noticeably heavier tho.
garner
I believe all the difference lies in the pressure plate. It is beefier but WJM is correct, just a bit. The step on the flywheel is shorter by a tiny bit. WJM, did you have your flywheel step shortened when switching to xt6 clutch? Bottom line is, it is stronger and better grabbing but it's no race clutch garner
