torxxx
Found an AWESOME 1985 Brat today. Baby blue and it still has the brat stripes down the b-pillar. No rust holes anywhere in the car. Paint rust on the back fenders but its just surface rust. The tailgate is dented, but repairable. Has the T-tops, original bumpers and grill. 101,000 miles its an old man car, so its been taken well car of. payin 500 for it. Is there anything I need to know about 85 Brats? like the problematic parts?
carfreak85
They tend to rust out behind the upper rear shock mounts, so be sure to spray any gunk out of there.

subiemech85
mine enjoys the heated garage, cruising at 3,000 + rpm, using the secondarys shifting at 4,000 + rpm, and not using too low of a gear helps when it has the ea82 d/r 5spd, exhaust, intake and carb
Wasteland
They like catless Y pipes, stripped emissions, and castrol GTX 10w40. Watch the rear wheel wells, and remember that brakes only slow you down! I love my '85 Brat, rust holes and all. Good score!
