It's doing the no wanting to start when it's cold thing.( tries to fire then have to hold to the floor to get started) I just replaced fuel filter and didn't help anybody got part# and location of the switch. also If it could be anything else any tips would be great. thank you. Mr. Carb Posted December 2, 2004 Share Posted December 2, 2004 Theres a valve on the intake manofold, not sure where on a Loyall, but, it's black, normally sits on top of the t-stat housing, and has a wire going into it. Thoes get stick, and effect the fuel mixture greatly at idle when the car is cold or warm. It's called the AAC valve. on the ea81t's and ea82's fuel injected models. All fuel injected cars to my knowlege have them. My dad has a ford crown vic that has one of them and it went bad, made it so it wouldn't idle when cold as well.
