soobscript
front wheel drive has a small splined tranny. and the 2x clutch wont fit on your 4x tranny. the xt6 and 4x ea82 series trannies have the same spline, and the same diameter clutch disc. so ea82 and er27 fitment is the same. also the 2x is 7 7/8 instead of 8 7/8 diameter disc If the EA82 4wd and XT6 have same splines and disc diameter, are they switchable? XT6 pressure plate with EA82 disc? XT6 clutch and p.p. with EA82 flywheel?

soobscript
both are the exact same clutches. So I would be able to install a new XT6 clutch kit on my stock EA82T 4wd flywheel without any problems? I thought I was told that wouldn't work by someone who had tried... soobscript
What about this? I "attempted" this swap when I did my D/R Manual Conversion, and found out the hard way you have to use the following components to make it work properly : XT6 Complete Clutch Kit (Disc, PP, RB) XT6 Flywheel <---This is KEY since the stepping depth is different from a regular EA82 Flywheel Other than that its bolt on ... ... Yeah I'm glad to help since I had no help when I did my swap and I was just told it bolts right up, I bought a XT6 Clutch Kit to find out it wouldn't work, then had to spend another $160 on an EA82 Clutch Kit and ended up with 2 clutches!! ... WJM
anyone know why all the online places are sold out of the Exedy Clutch kit? because Exedy sucks....and no one wants to make parts for our cars anymore...even tho the DISC is UNCHAGED from 1985 to present.
