ausmhow
I've got an 87 gl 4x4 wagon that leaks about a half quart of oil every tank of gas. It doesn't leak while sitting, so I assume it's a gasket/seal problem. Where could it be comming from? I assume front/rear main, cam seals, oil pan, or valve covers. I'm going to do some more in depth investigation this weekend. It runs great, good compression with 145k miles on it. How big of an operation are the cam seals to replace? Any specialty tools needed? Is there a good comprehensive Suby shop manual out there? I've got a Haynes manual, but with my VW experience, Haynes is no Bentley. thanks
subiemech85
with that kind of consumption, start by tightening the oil pan then replace the gaskets in the valve covers and oil pan if needed
