Myxalplyx
This is nothing new I know. This may sound funny but I have to ask. Has anyone jacked up their car and have the jack go through the floor due to rust? I ask because the jacking points on my RX look dangerous. I haven't checked all around just yet but I know one point I was looking at the other day, I was able to mistakenly push my finger through it. The last thing I'd want is to jack up the car and get under it, only to have it give away because the jacks went through some rust. Has anyone experienced this? I'm just curious! snowstormer
happens all the time on old rust buckets from around here. i use some large diameter logs for jack stands when working on cars with rust problems.
archemitis
use the tow hooks, or the xmember in the front, and the rear... big block where its supposed to go. the rear tow hooks are much weaker than the front.
