I think it looks alot better this way. Took care of all the black scuffs that i used to have on my bumper too :)

very nice Brian. Did you just paint the trim or did you go get different trim for it and different bumpers. Very sleak indeed! Maybe I'll paint my trim white or something....with the gold striping on the trim, might make it stand out in the crowd....time to do some photoshopping:D

I masked everything and re-painted it. I used bumper paint, its dark grey and replicates a real bumper look. The paint worked out great too. Went on in 1 thin coat and dryed in almost 30min. I was worried the cold weather we're having would make it difficult for the paint to cure, but it's lasted a day so far :) and I even scrubed some dirt off the bumper today and no paint faded.

Now... to work on that grill I got.

cold weather in Cali???? Thats like having no rain in Oregon!!! Maybe you should move out here and feel what cold weather is all about man. Andrew has a paintcan with Chem-Tool in it and it froze one night. Talk about being cold!!!

Nice masking job; edges look good.

Overall looks MUCH better than before.

Good form sir :drunk:

Thanks. There are some small spots where the masking didnt work. But cant really be seen from afar.

Looks very nice. I will probably be doing this to mine at some point

When i did this years ago i got flamed for ruining the RX's look. Making it look like a standard GL. Oh wells. I love mine, yours looks 100% better cause of that grill.

Seriously, I want a 3 door grill. I've been looking for 6+ months and everytime i come up dry.

Your car looks great, very straight, and clean. Nice ride, Mad tite.

Tex, I'll definatly go back and get that other grill for you. I cant do it till after xmas tho cause i wont have any cash.

I hope i dont get flamed. I was sick of having light grey trim. MAkes the car look like a granny's car. Now it has some definition to it. I'd like to get some new RX decals to replace my fading decals, i think that will add alittle more to the look.

-Brian

And can the rx decals just be ordered from subaru? Mine are quite faded as well.

What the hell do you think you're doing?! you competely ruined the look of the classic rx!!! Paint it back at once.

hi

it looks very very nice....tell me something, this paint will stay on the trim for long time, i mean, with the rain and the strong sun.....the color won't go away or wont change to lighter color?

i also paint some parts on the car, i used primery grey color first and after i used white lack sprey(dulpli color) - white hige gloss finish,i painted it 2 times, it become very nice also but i dont know if it will stay like this for a long time.....after i saw your work, i'm thinking to paint the trim on my car with white, first primery and after lack white, does someone do that already and can tell me if it will stay like this for some years, or after some time it won't look nice...

thank you for your fast answer.

moshe.

Wheels will be upgraded in a couple weeks. Just need the $$$ to get new tires for them.
