Woo hoo...

Went for a little run last Thursday.

The 4w/Lo handled great. Was able to motor up some stuff that I would have stalled on with the reg s/r tranny.

Carnage from this trip is as follows:

Lost a exhaust stud on the Driver side.

Flooded the passenger side cabin area

knocked a hole in my tranny. (it was right between the engine crossmember and the anti-sway bar. How does a rock get right there?)

Front Axle has a click now.

Hopefully I can get everything together in time for a Christmas day run to this mountain top I know of.

Wish I had picks, will take some next time.

Sounds like fun! Got your skid plate one? That usually saves you from SOME carnage :brow:

Hope you get her together for the Mt. run. Sounds like all you realy need to do is fix the tranny and the exhuast stud. The rest would be gravy! :)

Check the boots on them axles. Might have just got some sand up in a torn boot?

Well I am more going to stick to trail/fireroads until I get it lifted, then I will do more aggro wheeling.

Tranny is being resolved. (see thread in old gen forum)

Exhaust stub is sitting in my tool box waiting to be put on.

Axles, boot are not torn. Was clicking before when I turned right so I kinda thought it was going to go. There is a 50% off sale at the PAP at the end of the year. Gonna pick me up two axles if I can find an EA81.

I forgot to get the camera but I do plan to take some picks of the Mt run.

thats why i always straddle the ruts. stick one tire in the middle, between the ruts, then the other tire on the outside of the other rut.

ruts kill subaru undercarriage, especialy when the guy before you was runing 31s at the very minimal.

not sure if thats how you got the hole, but thats where all my offroading trouble started.
