'03 Baja Parking Lights

Anybody had this happen? Wife just called me, fellow employee noticed her parking lights on in the parking lot (car is not running, it is locked and off). I told her to go out and check the rocker switch on the top of the steering wheel (between wheel and instrument panel) she called me on her cell from the car and told me the switch was off so I told her to click it a couple of times and double check. Answer was 'lights still on no matter what position switch is in'. HELP please:)

Are you certain she's flicking the right switch? It's really amazing how many folks get this semi-invisible rocker mixed up with the hazard flasher switch. Make sure she understands *which* switch, and cycles it once, then checks her parking lights again. If not, tell her to forget it and deal with it when she gets the car home. It won't kill a healthy battery in four hours.

Yes, she's been driving 'rus longer than me (since '86). Thanks, I kind of told her the same thing. It's just that we've now got 7" new snow and she works 20 miles from home. Thanks

Ya'all are gona love this one:rolleyes: On her way home yesterday she decided to drop by our favorite:rolleyes: Subie dealership, after 2 hours they determined that the wire harness from the SOA trailer hitch (that they had installed last Sept) had shorted out. Of course it is 'out of warranty' by 90 days.........Estimate for repair........$199 and change......HAHAHA HOHOHO.... I didn't pay that much for the whole hitch......MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY

SOA Already knows me real well. As for getting in the owner's face, you're not gon'a believe this but we grew up one street away from each other in the '50s/'60s and I purchased my very first new car from him in 1973 (which I still have). And over the last 20 years I have been an employee of his @ two different times and I don't think he really wants to see me again. To top that off, now he ownes all the Subaru dealerships within a a reasonable distance from my home. So now the word goes out to his three dealerships that 'you know who' is being a pain in the A$$ again..... MY POINT TO THIS THREAD IS HOWEVER, ANY 'RU WITH A DEALER INSTALLED TOW HITCH SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR A FAULTY HITCH WIRE HARNESS IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH PARKING/BRAKE LIGHTS ACTING UP. Gary:)
