skins
I am new to the USMB never posted. I was on vacation for two weeks and came back to my 98 legacy 2.5 (111000). The first time that I started it, it started a little slow. Two days later as i am driving home the car choked when i accelerated quickly or if I got to about 25-30mph. It did not die, it just did not want to accelerate. I pulled over, put it in neutral and gave it a little rev... again it sputtered/choked/or whatever you call it, it did not stall/die. Any ideas what this is? My first guess was the fuel pump. Let me know what you think.
Skip
I think it sounds like water in the gas how much fuel was in the tank while you were gone?
skins
I think it sounds like water in the gas how much fuel was in the tank while you were gone? It was about 1/4 of a tank. We just got hit with a huge thunderstorm and it was sitting outside. how do I deal with the water if that is the problem? Thank for the reply! Skip
Maybe they don't sell it in AZ but the substance is called "Dry Gas" Basically isopropyl alcohol You may also want to look at the sparking plug wires
