soobme
Well, my sister-inlaw's son is going down today to see about trading in his Ford 1/2T 4X4 in on an '84 D/R 4x4 wagon. It's got good paint on it, and a set of crome mods w/snow's. If he gets it he will be going on the 8-19 S.O. camp trip with us:-) Do the EA81 4X4's have adjustable suspention like the EA82's do? calebz
I think they have a single adjustor for the rear suspension tosion bar thing.. it would be located under the back seat.. fronts would adjust like the ea82s This is just a guess.. have seen these things on a hatch.. imagine it would be the same on a wagon.. someone will correct me if i am wrong

Adam N.D.J.
Yeah, look under the rear seat, there will be a large rubber plug in the middle, take out the plug and you will be stareing a 19mm (or 17, but I think 19, I could go out to one of mine and check, but I'm too lazy ) bolt in the face. Jes tighten the bolt and it will raise the rear end. The fron has the two nuts on the struts.
Caboobaroo
is there any way to do the opposite on it? I wanna drop my wagon down so its nice and lowered. Can I do the same thing but instead of tightening it, can I loosen it? If I do that, how much should it drop? My wagon is a 79 with a 1600 in it
Adam N.D.J.
The 79 won't have the same torsion bars like on the gen II. Lowering it would require reclocking the torsion bars in the rear, you'd have to take em out and stuff that I'm really not too up to speed on. The front, you'll have to either get lower springs, or cut the existing ones. Lotsa luck.
