SpielmC
I just bought one of those JDM import motors to put in my '85. The new motor is a turbo, the old one carb, so i bought a harness and ECM from a local wrecker. The harness doesn't have the connection for the distributor/crank angle sensor. Did they give me the wrong harness? Should this be a plug-n-play job if the harness is from a turbo car? The ECM says 22611 AA630. Any help wil be greatly appreciated. torxxx
that is a problem I ran into on my first turbo project car. I had the wiring harness There is one harness that had the disty wire connector (crank angle sensor) alone by itsself running into the main wiring harness. The other one has the disty connctor, knock sensor and a ground that goes on the bellhousing. What year of car is the motor out of? To make it work I think you'd have to get the disty off the same year car as the wiring harness donor. Then I think there is a wire that you can splice into in the intake harness for the knock sensor. I will look when I'm at the shop tommorow and let you know what I find out
SpielmC
I don't know what year the motor is, they woudn't/couldn't tell me. The ECM/Harness is out of a '90 loyale. Thanks!
subyrally
all you really need is the ditsy plug, find one with the same plug as your harness, then there are two screws on the bottom, un screw em and pull the plug out the bottom of the ditsy, do the same on your ditsy andswap the plugs. i had to do that like 4 times in three months. hope that helps/
