TheSubaruJunkie
There's alot of snow out there... and Im hoping to find some in Pollock pines. I'll be making a trip up either Wednesday or Thursday and dont like traveling alone. Will need a support vehicle incase someone needs to be pulled out. Here's an idea of where i'm planning on going: -Brian
subieman
Your gonna find snow just about everywhere. I'm really burnt out from driving in the snow everyday, unless I would join you. Have fun and drive safe!
NV Zeno
Not quite sure if there's any substatial snow there, I believe the elevation is only 2500' or so. It's even been raining in Tahoe (6229 ft) today, so I'm sure it's raining everywhere. The rain may have washed away most of what's there, and what remains will now become "Sierra Cement", similar to the slop Jibs, Subieman, Subiewonkenobi and I were up against at Doyle..virtually impassable. subieman
Rain?? where??? I wish it would rain! HA! I'm sure after the storm Monday night there will be plenty of light puffy snow to drive in. Well at least above 5000 feet. I awoke to a 5 foot snow drift in front of my car this morning. Needless to say I did not make it through.
NV Zeno
Yeah, we'll see what Monday brings. Right now the rain has stopped..just think of the ice rink the streets are gonna be tomorrow morning:o . Right now it's pushing 40 degrees, but as soon as the clouds clear away...brrr. TheSubaruJunkie
There should be plenty of snow left for the trip. I have a co-worker who lives there, he said he coudnt drive up Sly Park to the lake cause there was so much snow. Local news crew's have been broadcasting from P.Pines talking about how they're expecting to get dumped on. -Brian
NV Zeno
Yup, big snow expected here soon. It's kinda funny watching the "Boy Racers" in the lowered Hondas/Corollas/Tempos make their way around in this stuff:lol:  .

Will Smith
I would be surprised if you can get through. Mormon Emigrant Trail is not plowed. There has been lots of snow. I live at about the same elevation as Jenkinson's lake and up until yesterday I had to chain up just to get out of the driveway.

TheSubaruJunkie
I was supposed to go today, but i stayed home cause I didnt want to get stranded up there. Im also getting broke, and payday is another week and a half away. Spending $30 on gas right now doesnt seem as feasable as it did last week. -Brian
