Guest Legacy B4
Hi, I've just bought a 2000 Subaru Legacy B4 RSK which is a used UK personal import from Japan. I'm trying to find out where I could find detailed service manuals and parts manuals in English so I can source replacement parts and carry out work on it. As far as I know this car wasn't offically exported from Japan but I know many countries have hundreds of personal imports of this excellent 280bhp saloon/sedan so someone must have been looking before me. Can anyone help? Ta, Kal

That doesn't mean that they will have manuals though, I tried to get some for my 96 WRX from there and only the dealers had them, and those were not for resale. Guest Legacy B4
I think they just started exporting the B4 to Oz and NZ, because I've got an import all the official Subaru dealers won't help and I don't read Japanese to check their sites for one ! Waaaaa! Wasn't the B4 exported to Australia and New Zealand? That doesn't mean that they will have manuals though, I tried to get some for my 96 WRX from there and only the dealers had them, and those were not for resale. urabus1995
Hiya. I too have an imported Legacy and have been hunting for "english"manuals for it too. I am so jealous!!!!!!! After I got mine sent over here, I found out about the B4RSK. It is quite some machine EH? I wish I had known about it before I bought my wagon. Lucky guy , you are. Anyway, here in UK, there is a Legacy B4 forum, as quite few people have them. I would think that someone on there will have an "english manual" for them, but maybe not for something as new as yours. I am sorry that I dont have an actual link to the forum on this machine , but it was easy to find on Google. Legacyregister.co.uk rings a bell, or maybe Legacycentral.bbs I am sure I only typed in legacyB4 RSK to find it originally. Wish you luck.-you lucky lucky man. Guest Legacy B4
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/legacyb4/ Thanks, above is link to UK forum, I've just contacted them to join as kalsB4RSK, still searching, if I find the manuals I'll post directions here and on the UK one. At the moment I'm researching with some friends in Hong Kong and Japan and in NZ too, hopefully something will come back. Kal

Guest Legacy B4
Thanks, they don't seem to cover the model car I have (unless I'm being thick) I've got a 2000 Legacy B4 RSK (I think) with a GF-BE5 model number and an EJ20 engine (from the Japanese cancellation or registration certificate). I've sent them an email asking though... I think the engine would be the same for the WRX STI twin turbo which is not an official UK car ... I'm new to all this so let me know if I'm wrong, cheers, Kal
Guest Legacy B4
OK I spoke to Sarah at Car-Handbooks, she assures me she has been asked the question before and their translated owners manual covers the B4 so I've ordered one, should have it in a few days, will post whether it's useful...
