Handtool
'95 legacy, EJ-22. Can somebody confirm that the coolant is pulled from the block and pushed through the radiator by the water pump? Or is the pump fed by the radiator? Thanks.
Setright
Pump is fed by the radiator. The coolant exits the engine at the top. That is why the coolant temperature sensor is located up there, in the collector pipe that the feeds the radiator top hose. The ECU wants to know the temperature inside the engine. Handtool
Cool, that makes sense. Now the smaller line on the water pump that goes to the heater core, is that a feed or a return? Thanks.
bearbalu
Return - exiting heater core and feeding into water pump.
