subeman90
Looks like it needs an alignment. Wonder if it has enough snort to turn those tires on the trail???? :-\ Matt
Snowman
Now I HAVE seen everything! That's really cool. I figured that somebody must have lifted a Justy by now.
subarubrat
That is great, I would love to see some details on how he did it, it may need some tweaking camberwise but at first glance it looks awesome.
Do It Sidewayz
meh....mine looks similar....sans lift...but i've got something it doesn't.....TURBO!!
bushbasher
looks neat, but I dont think it would be very useful as a 4x4. Its too short and has no low range.
Myxalplyx
looks neat, but I dont think it would be very useful as a 4x4. Its too short and has no low range.I understand the 'no low range' part but why would it be a problem because it's too short? I thought because it has practically no overhangs, it would do pretty well. Remember, I'm not experienced at these things. Also, I'm surprised no-one inquired what the big 'power' hump in the middle is for.
bushbasher
if its too short it wont be able to climb anything without flipping over backwards. Even samurais have this problem and they are a bit longer. Its the reason my subaru can climb a steeper grade than my friends cj5 on locked axles and 36" tires. Caboobaroo
ok now you have to tell us what its powered by due to the 'big hump' in the middle of the hood...
MorganM
That's a mean Justy there! I'd definatly wheel it. Prolly be a little scary up some real steep climbs. Hope its got a turbo! You can make up a lot of power with gearing.... but is this thing geared up? Tcase under there somewhere? Can we get some details ?
Rickdog
Awesome! Howdja' do that? I'd like to lift my Justy (love it!) about 2", just for grins. My 175.75x13's rub going over road bumps. Even with new struts. So... how'd you go about lifting that thing, and what did you have to do elsewise? Don't listen to the naysayers or the anal retentives who insist on low range. We have 35mpg! If you'd be so kind, reply to my email with some of what you did. Great beast! The hood bump is for your passenger's DVD, right? A DOG
That thing is truly a beast. I don't know how much power it has:confused: , but you could always make it more powerful under the hood with some mods. That thing is awesome though. I wanna see some pics of it in the mud. But for serious obstacle and hillclimb work it would not do well. As a snow/mud/rally/hooligan car it would be sweet. Especially with more power. subawoohoo
i think thats beautiful! is it real?? however i really doubt that a stock justy has enough power to turn those monster wheels anywhere other than down a hill. As for rolling backwards, im sure that could pose a problem, but it does have a really wide track, and an extremely light body, so im sure (if it has power) it could put up a damn good fight against a lot of people. Rickdog. I guarantee you that baby doesnt get 35mpg's. not trying to start a war, but why the hell is so many people against the justy? i mean seriously whats with the "rolleyes" and the scoffs? i know its an underdog, and in a completely different league of its own, but damn!! give them and their owners a freakin' break. what do you think the people on that pirate board do to others like, hum lets see, US , with there bitching that we're just a car and dont have V8s and the like? your all doing the same thing when you say "its not worth it" or "it's stupid," to people striving to have fun in the car THEY love. and to another SUBARU at that. you're either stupid, or just rude, obnoxious people. chef_tim
I just read and re-read the whole thread and not one person said anything worse then what you have here. No one said it was "it's stupid," or"its not worth it" if your going to use quotation marks in a statment you need to make sure someone said it!!! Time to take a chill dude, just because someone doesn't like a particular car doesn't mean you need to come all undone. i think thats beautiful! is it real?? however i really doubt that a stock justy has enough power to turn those monster wheels anywhere other than down a hill. WoodsWagon
So now that it has been asked what's under the hood, will you answer? Remember, even with big tires, the engine is not accelerating a lot of mass with the whole car being light. It would be nasty as a "hooligan car". I love that phrase.
