ezapar
Are you working the strut magic here, too? The other post. I added Outback struts to make room for taller tires. 205/70/15s. Looks like I can fit 205/75/15s. Just have to figure out a skid plate.
Flowmastered87GL
What do people run (like subiegal and such...) its either prodrive or primitive skid plates... the ones that cover the WHOLE bottom... though with your suspension dropped more I wonder if it will still clear everything... I imagine it should still... (if It can take an airborne rally car)

superu
How about now? 9 inches even under the Y-pipe and rear diff. Whoohoo! NICE!! I'm down with the low-cost factory lift of outback struts!! Fit some bigger tires under there too, and get a touch more... I think i'm at 9 at the cat too, and maybe 9.5 at the rear diff?? Are you thinking of higher (after recovering from the strut swap blow $$)? check out this impreza (for inspiration) http://home.att.net/~rsmash/

Are you thinking of higher (after recovering from the strut swap blow $$)? check out this impreza (for inspiration) http://home.att.net/~rsmash/ I got the struts for a good price, did the swap myself. It wasn't such a big blow at all. That imp in the link you sent me has been my inspiration for years. I'd actually like to add some taller springs in the rear. A lift kit is not out of the question either.

aldeveron
There's always the web page where he explains it:http://home.att.net/~rsmash/strutswap.html Is there any difference between a one inch longer strut and a two inch lift plate and a three inch lift plate? Ihe OBS strut is heavier duty than stock?
ezapar
The longer strut lets you use a taller tire.
