thrush
This problem started about a year ago. It would loose power once every three months, then once a month, once a week, now every day. I drive four hours every day. Sometimes for the first hour, or maybe the second hour,or maybe the third hour i loose more than half of the engines power until the engine gets to 3300 rpm when i get full power back. When it shifts i have to wait till the rpms get to 3300 before i have any power. There are no engine codes. Usually during the four hours of driving the engine will run perfect for one or two hours but not all four.

lmdew
You might try dropping the exhaust pipe of the back of the CAT's and see if it makes a difference. If the exhaust is still very quite, you may have a plugged CAT. I would think you would get a code, but who knows. It's just two bolts, so it's worth a try. If there is no change, drop the CATS, it will be straight pipe now an should rev like crazy.

coloradosubarules
It kinda does sound like the cat. Perhaps when it gets hot it swells therefore not letting axhaust flow properly. If this happens at night get out and look at the ground under the car. It should look like your car has neon tubs under it because your car it glowing red because it is soooo hot. J/k If and when this happens you might want to pop into an exhaust shop and have them do a thermo test. They use the laser thermometer to take the cats temp. If it is out of range for your vehicle then they know what the problem is. I had that test done on my RV and turns out that the cat was the problem. It's a good place to start. I knew mine was clogged because my car was running like crap and my wife's feet were getting very, very hot.
