Just doesn't like the cold

This is my first posting and I can't help but think some of you have been here before. I have a 93 impreza with a throttle body. the car won't start if it is below 30 degrees or so unless I spray either into the snorkel. Once it starts it runs very rough for 15 to 20 seconds and then POOF! everything is great. I picked up a used throttle body from the junk yard and it made no difference. The car has 158,000 miles and everything works fine except for this no start cold issue. Any Ideas? Thanks, Bob G.

I don't think I'll be of a big help but anyway... I have 1990 Subaru Libero 1.2 carb. had similar problem last winter. Used hot-air gun to warm up the airfilter. It helped to start engine. Then I had replaced a few vacuum lines on a carb. There are about a dozen of those rubber lines less than a 1/4'' inside. Some of them were deteriorating. It solved a problem. See if you have some of those things. I have not seen your engine, can't say anything else.
