mrwayne
I have a 1985 Subaru GL ,Front wheel drive , EA82, 4 door sedan and want to lift it. For medical reasons it would make life a lot easier for me. I have been looking at the Ozified BYB lift kits and have seen many Subaru projects done and they all look awesome. My question is can these kits be installed on NON 4x4 Subarus ? I love this car and don't want to sell it. Can anyone help me out ? Thanks in advance, mrwayne

85Sub4WD
They really should work, because the chassis is the same for both, but best to ask the company.
torxxx
should work, but you might run into problems when doing the rear end because of the lack of a rear diff and mustache bar.. http://www.ozified.com shoot them an email and ask em

mtsmiths
No offense meant, it's just that some folks with access and/or mobility issues can be sensitive about it, and might consider any in-depth query to be prying into personal matters. Yeah I spose. Didnt really want a life history LOL Just never heard of lifting a Subaru for medical reasons I spose it could help with getting in / out. But then you'd need big tires to really get the height.

mrwayne
"For medical reasons it would make life a lot easier for me." Gee, Morgan, how much detail do ya' want? HA HA , yes it seems this has gotten off the track from Subaru lifts to medical reasons..... NO worries. I had a SERIOUS motorcycle crash in 1989 and the legs don't work to good anymore. The extra 6 inches of height to get in and out of a vehicle makes a world of difference. I have read a few posts on this site and I believe a combination of a lift and larger wheels and tires will get me the height i'm looking for.
