dragonlee2
I've got an 88 GL 4wd Hatchback that needs rear axle parts and a 90 Legacy AWD that needs a transfer case. Both are 5 speeds. Are any of these parts compatible?
ShawnW
There is no transfer case in a Subaru Legacy. The rear axles arent compatible. I recommend you Pull the broken axle and call MWE Axles via this website: http://www.ccrengines.com/mwe/

85Sub4WD
Legacy and Loyale parts are non-interchangeable. Most Legacy and Impreza parts are interchangeable. All '80s "L" cars with an EA82 engine and all Loyale parts are interchangeable as long as it is of the same type. I'd fix the Hatchback first, it will be MUCH cheaper to do, and it is a good car. Wait until you find a good tranny in the junkyard at a good price before you tackle the Legacy.

85Sub4WD
Post a request in the market forum here, or I use Hal's Parts and Service at www.halspartsandservice.com Soob only, and he has used CV axels at a good price. Email him for a quote. (As you're west cost, you can probably find something closer - a number of the board members live in Oregon)
