coda
So I went outside to lock up the Subys tonight and I hear this clicking noise coming from the Frau's 91 Legacy wagon. I can hear it from the outside and the car isnt even running. I traced it down to a module labled "P/B control unit" located in the left rear speaker tower. I unplugged it and the clicking stopped. The box is black and has a harness coming out of opposing ends w/a 16 pin on one end and 8 pin on the other. I don't notice anything odd when starting the car and everything seems to be working. Anyone know what this gizmo is? I hate so send momma out in the car if this is a crucial piece of hardware.... Thanks!
brus brother
http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru_manual_scans/1992_FSM_(Engine_%26_Electrical)/ Check this out for wiring diagrams, courtesy Legacy777 moderator. It's too early in the morning for my eyes to work so I don't know if your solution is in this Factory Service Manual wiring for a 1992 Legacy. Have you checked all lighting including PB (Parking Brake)? I know, that would be too simple a solution but you never know. Good luck
