leahchris
We've had a slow coolant leak for a while. We figured it was just some small leak in the system, maybe the new drain cap we put in. However, the other day we found anti-freeze in the oil when we checked it. Does anyone know what that means? Intake manifold gasket leak? Blown head gasket? Thanks in advance. 85Sub4WD
Head gasket - BTW Antifreeze is REALLY bad for the bearings in your engine - don't drive it until it is fixed if at all possible, or else you will have to rebuild your entire engine
MilesFox
if you find yourself having to drive the car run STRAIGHT WATER in the radiator to keep from tearing up the bottom end, run with the cap off if she pukes. i had to do this for several 300 mile round trips you can get a block sealer from napa but the instructions call for using it with clean water, run for 20 min, drain and let dry. this worked for 2 of my cars, one lasted till it overheated it again on atv trails with no fan. anyway it will buy you time to get around for the head gasket repair
