there's one in trempeauleau (sp?) just north of onalaska/lacrosse, wisconsin. had to pick an axle on my way out west. the guy may be pricey, but we talked him down to 40 from 60 bucks. he has a few 5spd d/r's, and an xt-6

there's a place in bryan ohio, that has a few soobs, and a hatch, and a wrecked brat. the brat has no motor, but the driveline is there, and the hatch is missing the front axles. most of the ea82's there are 2wd 5spds, one still has a motor, labelled bad,(bet its a timing belt)

also a few of us guys Tom in michigan, and jim in ohio, plus myself, collectively have a good stash of parts

The place is hit or miss. Watch out for the dogs. When you get there you will know what I mean.

Look up "Cindy's Classic Autos" It is the same place.

I shouldn't even be giving them a plug. Be warned they were sortof a goosechase last time I went. He has a great stash but he hasn't ever bothered to take me thru the yard. Said he would about 3 times but every time I get up there hes like "oh you are the guy that I talked to on the phone that drove 5 hours to get here? Oh. Thats too bad I have to go out and tow another wreck back for the yard and have to go. Anything you need right quick?"

No I have a list but I want to look at what I am buying thats why I came up.

"Oh well maybe next time you come"

If there is a next time.

And he isnt cheap either. Id rather go to Pick N pull in Denver, its twice the drive but the scenery when you get there is far better, you can meet other Subaru owners, and the yard is cheaper and has less rust in the parts cars than his do (could tell from the road).

Good luck.

Ill go back up if a group of us wanted to coordinate a run together, really make it "worth his while" to stick around instead of ditchin out.

Yeah I could do that, that would be awesome. I live in Minneapolis, and it sounds like it would be a fun trip. That and I have to meet Shawn W since his name is spelled the same as mine and his last initial is the same. The irony. It's about 4-5 hours from here, maybe I can get some of my Suby buddys to go too?

Keep me posted!

That and morgan is a good dude to deal with, I just bought an exhaust manifold from him last night.

Peace!

I'd be happy to go on a parts run. I really dont need any more (need to get all the ones I've bought over the years on first!) but I'm always down for a junkyard run! Only thing I can think that I could really use are rear dics assemblies to swap on.

I might be going to madison this weekend sometime anyway, my friend/roomate is buying a modded WRX from a guy there ironically. So if anyone wants to meet down there or tag along or something, let me know.

I'm giving it a 60/40 chance right now that we're going.

Peace!

Interesting thread. Anyone aware of a good yard in the vicinity of Grand Forks, ND? Our son moved there to attend Grad School in Physical Therapy and took the '87 turbo GL-10 5sp. He'll be doing work on it. Water pump has a leak right now... Thanks, Rick
