WJM
HKS downpipe? I never heard of this for our cars. What the hizzle? VF11...its the same exh housing bolt pattern as WRX/STi. Get on the ball! :-p
spanky_pete
So I happen to have a WRX downpipe lying in my garage, and I think I have a source for a vf11. What specifically needs to be done to swap it in for the stock turbo on my wagon? Has anyone done a write-up on their install yet?
Caboobaroo
basically the turbo should bolt onto the stock dp BUT the back stud needs some loving. The two front studs line up but the back on needs to be moved back about 1/2" or so.

AFAIK, that only applies to the TD04.. the VF11 should bolt right on to the stock uppipe
Subarutex
HKS is like the cheapest downpipe you can buy aftermarket for a WRX. Thats not very Ballin' dude. Nice Find... I'm holding out for used divorced wastegate downpipe.

I'm holding out for used divorced wastegate downpipe. I got a totally stock WRX downpipe right now with less then 500 miles on it and I got it for cheap. I'm going to be saving up for the Crucial Racing divorced wastegate downpipe once the motor is back together and running... MWAHAHAHAHA

avatar382
I wonder how the stock WRX downpipe compares to: 1.) stock EA82T downpipe 2.) catless performance downpipe (TWE, HKS, etc) I'm wondering because I've got a WRX downpipe on mine now. If I replace it with a catless one, I'll have a ton more noise to deal with, so I'd have to get a muffler, plus, I might have to get a custom DP fabbed... Not sure if it's worth it. And, I like having a straight pipe and Captain Planet is proud of me for running cats...
