GLCraig
I'm going to probably get some KYB struts for my GL and I was thinking that I should get some replacement strut tops for it too. But this is the hard part, I can get the ones from KYB for $67.80 each or I can get OE from the dealer at $46.90 each. Are the ones from KYB that buch better to justify the price difference? XSNRG
What's the advantage of new strut tops? Where are you getting yours? I found good prices at pickproparts. I'm ordering a set Monday for the RX.

NorthWet
What's the advantage of new strut tops? About the same advantage as replacing control arm bushings, but since these support the weight of the corner of the car, maybe even more important. archemitis
unless they have urethane, instead of rubber, id say go with the dealer... for the first time!

The old ones crack something serious.Looks like heck, and has to be a potential disaster.I haven't had any fronts pop through yet,but looking at them sometimes will scare you,and rightfully so. It's be nice to have some urethane versions available.
GLCraig
Well I pulled my struts out tonight and the bearings in the tops are shot, I can barely turn them by hand. I price out some from a few of the major parts stores and I can get them cheaper from the dealer so It looks like I'll be getting some OEs here in a couple of days.
