Bonnie Posted March 3, 2005 Share Posted March 3, 2005 I just bought a 2005 Forester 2.5XT and because I have three dogs, I also purchased the dog guard/compartment divider. I was shocked to discover that the retractable cover can not be used if the dog gate is installed. Does anyone know of a fix for this? skeet Posted March 3, 2005 Share Posted March 3, 2005 They both butt right up to the back of the seats to get your as much room as possible in the back. I can't really think of a way to do it without modifying the gate. All the gates I have seen in soobies are an easy swap. Just unscrew it and screw it back in, no biggie. I have a genius dog that figured out how to bump the cargo cover from underneath & squeeeeeze through between the back of the back seat & the gate... I tried to move the gate as close as possible to the back seat with out the cargo cover & it didn't go...
