dual range

Featured Replies

Is there any model to look for to find a dual range gear box or transmission?

What kind of engine is it going to be mounted to? You can find D/R Trannies in most 80's subaru's including:

GL Brats 81-87 4speed

GL Wagons 80-89 4speed

GL hatchbacks 80-89? 4speed

All GL loyales up to mid 90's 5speed

late 80's RX's and Xt's

There are others that were made in Australia and Europe for legacies and the such, but good luck with those!:) Those are all I can think of right now, If I am wrong in any way please feel free to say something as well.

Close, but not quite.. Not all the 5 speed L-series came D/R. Many were single range.

And I don't think any XTs came D/R

All right cool, thanks for clearing that up! I appreciate it.

I believe the 4 speeds went away in 85.

After that they morphed into 5 speeds

4 speeds in the hatches and brats, EA-81

5 speeds in the Wagons and sedans, EA-82

Only GL had them, Loyale's are DL's with a pretty bow.
