Ross
My ea81t sounds like a dog for the first second or so when started, and the oil pressure light stays on for this period also. By "sounds like a dog" i mean it has a deep knocking growling noise. As soon as the oil pressure light goes out it sounds fine. Does anyone know if this is a problem, or if its just normal ea81t behavior (hla s filling up or something??)? Cheers.
MudisFun
Try using synthetic and lucas oil treatment, fix the start-up chater for me.
Ross
I'm running castrol magnatec (smi synth) and crc lifter cleen now. The sound its making isn't really a chatter, its a lot deeper than that.
MudisFun
The lighter the oil the quicker the full circulation at start up, are running 10w30? To answer your real question, yes it's normal. When starting her up count one-one thousand, two, one thousand after the starter is dis-engadged. If the noise presists for longer, try using that lucas stuff cause you got a problem. Other wise don't worry about it.
