oddcomp Posted March 24, 2005 Share Posted March 24, 2005 so umm yeha .. is there any reason why i cannot cut out the lower radiator mount? so long as i put my own bracing there to tie the front fenders together again... i do notice that part of the front bracing acts like a air wedge thingy... to help put air into the radiator... just.. having a brain storm.. or something .. i see the front crossmember seems to do most of the structural reinforcing witht he radiator lower mount being like a secondary support o keep the fenders from flapping in the breeze.. anyone got a good reason why i should not cut that out and do my thing.. and then make a new brace out of 1/4 thick by 1.5" or so wide steel strap? i would mention what my thing is i want to do.. but i don't wanna get anyone's hopes up yet.. oh yeah.. perhaps i did mention it.. in some other post. who knows Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
archemitis Posted March 24, 2005 Share Posted March 24, 2005 strap will only support in one direction. use square or steel tubing. i cut out the top and bottom of my hatch to make room for the h6. just made a beefy bumper to stiffen it back up.
