mtnman38
Ok so i found an 86 gl-10 with a turbo with 3.7 gears and a push button 4wd so im thinking of pulling the tranny and rearend and putting it in to gramies car that is a non turbo. it has 3.9 gears will I have to change any axels or any thing or will the trans and rearend go right in? Also will the gear change make a big diffrence since its a non turbo Its my gramies car so performance is not a super important aspect. Thanks LT
NorthWet
Are you sure it is a 3.70 ratio? Is this an auto or manual? I am pretty sure that my '87 manual twagon is a 3.90 (as you know, it is raining pretty hard right now so I am not going to lie in the mud to check ). mtnman38
WHAT its raining @ your house ??? Thats impossible HAHAHA Yep its a manual turbo wagon push button 4wd And not posative on gearing and the tag is missing from the rearend Im going off what the person who had it told me (but he was kind of a dumb *#% but here is the problem got the trans out of the 88 efi wagon and put the 86 gl-10 turbo trans in the 88( both 5 speed push button 4wd) but the axels wont slide over thr trans splines so I guess there diffrent? or am I the dumb #*% thanks LT
